Friday 6 December @ the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute

After the success of the Nollywood New York Film Series, a host of students and university professors expressed interest in sustainably accessing quality Nigerian films, and especially how film students could contribute to the growth and amelioration of this burgeoning West African film industry called Nollywood. The first response to this query is the Nollywood Study break, an event which will present a ground breaking system and a brilliant opportunity for film students to become the change they want to see.

Attendees will be treated to Desmond Elliot’s Finding Mercy, as well True Story Nollywood, a short documentary film by Ihuoma Atanga. Delectable African food will be served prior to the film screenings as well as an opportunity to chat with the producers, purchase goodies, sign-up for various opportunities and interact with other African film and culture aficionados.

This event is absolutely free to all students and faculty, non-students and the public pay a small fee of $10 at the door, on a first come first serve basis. Student or Faculty ID must be presented at the door.
